Gave her benadryl last night and this morning woke up and the rash is still there and swelling around her eye. Have an appointment with the doctor in a hour to see whats up.

What Is Rheumatic Fever?
A rare but potentially life-threatening disease, rheumatic fever is a complication of untreated strep throat, caused by bacteria called Group A Streptococcus. The main symptoms -- fever, muscle aches, swollen and painful joints, and in some cases, a red, lattice-like rash -- typically begin one to six weeks after a bout of strep, although in some cases the infection may have been too mild to have been recognized.

Good to hear. It's normal to get worried. If you didn't, you wouldn't be a good parent.nikisonny said:My son is doing much better today. He does have scarlet fever. Started antibiotics today. Within an hour he was running around like nothing ever happened to him. Rash is fading already, and is not as itchy. Thank goodness.
Thanks to all of you for your advice while I was a spaz! Hopefully his brother doesn't get it!
Glad to hear you have a diagnosis... and definately the right antibiotic if he's reacting so positively so soon...nikisonny said:My son is doing much better today. He does have scarlet fever. OMG... poor girl...she would of been better off with the flu...FastCarsSpeed said:Welp for the good news and the bad news.
Good News - She doesnt have a virus or flu.
Bad News - She has poison ivy and its in her blood. Her whole head is swollen pretty much and she is sooo depressed. After doctors appointment it got worse this afternoon and took her to urgent care. Where now she is on a couple medicines. She went home with mom for the night and hopefully she is feeling better in the morning. She went to moms work for a couple hours this afternoon while I ran some errands and her other eye swelled up and she didnt look comfy at all.
