Foggy convertible rear window

So, the recently purchased 1999 325 convertible, while it has a "new" top still had some visibility issues out the back plastic window. Boy and I used Meguiars Plat-X polish on it. Less than 5 minutes later, a huge improvement. Says it's good for headlights, we have used the Turtle Wax kit for those, I think the Plast-X is a bit mild for bad headlights.

I just finished the headlights on my "new to me" Jeep Cherokee. I used the 3M kit that comes with the drill wheel for sanding and compounding. Came out fantastic.. They were so yellow and opaque when I started that I figured the restorations attempt was a shot in the dark and that I'd probably have to replace them anyway.

I would not believe this if I had not seen it. A guy at work drove his wife's car in because the headlight covers had the hazy look and several small scratches. He put brake fluid on a rag and rubbed it over the plastic and wiped it off with a clean rag and they looked like new.

I always hated the plastic windows. I swapped them out for the glass ones first chance I got.
