I always thought it was a bit sweet with a bit of heat.

I don't like citrus on my meats. Orange chicken, lemon on fish, etc.

I kinda like the accent of citrus with certain foods. Salmon with an orange glaze, little lemon pepper seasoning to seafood.

Come to think of it I can’t really think of any actual animal products that I’ve ever done that had fruit as a part of it.

I've only had it from Hong Kong restaurants in St Mary's or Dynasty in Solomons. Theirs are in a sugary sweet red sauce glaze with crushed peppers and they'll adjust the heat to your liking. I was hooked on that crap once upon a time.

I've done pork with apple and sauerkraut. I'm making a pork loin with prune stuffing tonight.
