The Citizen eco drives are really nice

I have that model prior to Eco-drive, so I have to replace the battery once in a while. But it is a great watch; keeps good time, and is rugged. If this one dies, I'll get the Eco-drive one, but I not holding my breath. This one just keeps going.

and he lives 3000 miles away in san diego so lunch is outta the question.

my price range is 400-600 it is his 50th birthday so i gotta spend a little more than i normally do.

You can easily get an Eco-Drive in that price range, sorry but the Tag is out of the question unless you ebay it.

...I find three flights under $600 to San Diego and back leaving Friday after next one and coming home Sunday.

Citizen. They are very nice and they have several models from your basic watch up to multi-function chrongraph.
