For those that know my Sasha

Sad news!

Saturday night I am at the house in Hollywood helping my son put in his car stereo and stuff he just bought. He's outside with a friend, I run in the house for a bit. Sasha is outside with my son and his friend. No sooner did I get inside, some mf'ing arsehole comes down the street about 35mph. :eyebrow:

Mind you this a culdisac with about 10 houses and a court.

My son comes running in the house, "get Dad, Sasha was just hit by a car. This guy in a jeep, :buttkick: hit Sasha, drags her about 6'. Got a flat tire. Luckily, (I use "luckily" lightly) don't know how, only her right leg is broken, missing about 6" of skin above the paw, (to the bone) which is the width of the tire and from dragging her. The other leg isn't broken but missing skin on her elbow and just at her paw. NO other bodily injury's. Thank god she is young. Sasha is in Waldorf emergency coming out Wednesday for sugery by Dr. Langford or Vietch Wednesday instead of her Vet at home since she will be recovery over several months here in Hollywood.
I saw her today. :flowers: They brought her out to me using a sling under her chest to help her walk and stand. I almost broke down. She was standing with a hard cast on the right broken leg and the other leg bandaged up. She has a cathoder for the morphine on her back left leg. She has a patch stapled to her left rib area that medicates her automatically every so many hours. Can't remember what that was called. Anyway thought I would share and hope Sasha will be home soon. Going to be a long winter.

I had picked up Sasha and ran into the house screaming for someone to find a frickin' Vet in St. Mary's. One was in Annapolis and the other in Waldorf. That sucked!
Anyway, he did come to the door, but I was so worried, scared and angry I basically told him to go away before he got hurt. My son said he wouldn't leave, but suggested it was a good idea. I know there is a Maryland leash law so nothing I could do. I figured he might come back the next day, but didn't. He wasn't from the neighborhood.
Thanks Red for the thoughts tho. :huggy:

Glad to hear that you pup will be ok after the accident.

Dunno what good it will do for ya, but I'll see what I can do about finding the guy that hit her. The jeep community is large, but tight.

I'm going to see her again tonight. I'll take some pics. Sorry, easy to say now, and a little morbid, but she is to cute.
They said she'll definitly be back to perfect health. *wipingbrow*

:huggy: Sorry to hear about Sasha, but I am glad that she wasn't even more injured than she was.
:yeahthat: That ER in Waldorf is wonderful. My oldest baby was up there for 4 days and they were wonderful. We're lucky they are there and we don't have to go all the way to Annapolis. Sounds like Sasha will be OK. :huggy:

I do count my blessings. She hasn't even lived her life yet being so young.

Thanks all appreciate the thoughts. :smoochy:

He was an older guy that came to the door. Must be old if he's older then me.
Didn't see the jeep at all. Even when we were flying out the door, he apparently was still changing his tire. No clue. Son was too freaked out to pay attention I believe. His friend said he was tramatized for life. No really it freaked him out he said. Especially to see her leg in the shape it was in. I freaked for a sec myself.

Thanks PT
