I thought you were not allowed to let kids walk to school anymore. But really they need to address the intersection not some new sidewalk for for as someone else said a few individuals.

Actually, kids do still walk to school. For SMCPS, elementary school kids who live within a half mile to their school must walk. Middle and high school kids who live within a mile of their school must walk.

Maybe that changed. I know for a fact a few years ago, kids that lived in the Meadowbrook (?) subdivision across the street from Hollywood Elementary were bussed. Reason? No sidewalk.

I have it on good word that unless the policy has changed, Green Holly did not allow people in Esperanza Farms to walk to school either.

Fix the Thomas Johnson bridge issue first please or speed up the process. I want a lane all to myself since people tend to have an accident on it a couple times a week.

Listening to Jack Russel on the radio this morning it sounds like work on the TJ bridge won't start for several decades, there will be a new Nice bridge before they even start on the Patuent River crossing.
