I graduated high school with a guy who had a Javelin. It was 1980-82 timeframe, so the car was only 10 years old at the time. Unfortunately, he had pimped out the inside with that fake fur that was so popular with the van guys.
His father was a fairly well known music teacher in the county. IDK if that had any bearing, but he had the most powerful, clearest stereo system I've ever heard in a car.
