Yep that's why I was so worried that the dawg had done an escape maneuver until I found out HE was a SHE. Then I breathed a BIG sigh of relief. I haven't seen any females with that description out when walking the dawg or I'd give you a heads up on what 'hood she might have come from.

I have to say that I was more thankful than usual when I got home last night and opened my door and there to greet me was my furry four legged tail wagging friend.

If I didn't already have two monsters of my own, I would've taken her home.

That's my story too. The two I have and the one at my girlfreind's house are all rescues.

She sounds wonderful!! Too bad you couldn't find her owners. Hopefully they will call there looking for her.

Unfortunately, Tri-County isn't a no-kill shelter. If the dog isn't claimed, adopted, or taken by a local rescue organization, she'll be euthanized. :frown:

OH NO!!!

Someone's gotta need a friend out there!

TriCounty holds strays for five days before their time is up - then, they can be euthanized at any time when the shelter needs room. The sad truth comes out.

Two of the dogs we have came from a kill shelter in Westmoreland, VA. Incredibly nice people there:smile:

It costs $20 and you have to get the animal altered if it isn't already. That's it.

From what I understand about how things work around here, it's like adopting a child. Anybody been through that here?

MAN! I am sorry to hear no one has gotten her. :frown: I would take her in a heartbeat if we were allowed to have pets. We are looking for a place when we move for pets......Cause we want doggies
