FREE to a good home

Help "Invisible Dogs"
If you find a "good home" by posting a "free to good home" ad I hope you were totally upfront and honest about the ear pulling response. If not and they find out the hard way your daughter could possibly be held liable. If she is taken to the shelter and you give that little tidbit of information, she will more than likely be euthanized.

I will be glad when the general population realizes that pets are not disposable.

Owner turn-ins are put to sleep at tri-county quicker than the ones that are found.

I would have taken her in as a foster, but I just got a 2 year old female boxer the other night.

Me too. :bawl: It makes me so sad to think about a family pet of 4 years being taken to the shelter. Shame on them.

Apparently you work with a 'rescue'. I have been told that a rescue group cannot rescue an animal until it has been turned over to the shelter whether it be by the owner or animal control or the humane society. Is this true?

SLIM from my limited experience, I contacted a local organization who asked me to keep the purebreed dumped bassett hound that we took in. They in turn contacted the basset hound rescue, and the group agreed to meet us in Waldorf to take custody. So it is not necessary to take to the shelter for a group to help your dog. Good luck I hope someone takes her and the shelter option is your last resort.

Thanks for the info. We'll see what happens tomorrow and go from there. :howdy:

That was one of my daughters biggest concerns thanks.
And to the red karma givers this morning at 8:16 and at 8:26, Children are not disposable either. As a matter of fact, it's against the law.

Slim, I have a question. Did your daughter get the dog before or after she knew she was having a baby?
