Anyone know of a reputable service to recharge my A/C? I have a duel system, the bottom floor works fine, but the top floor is a sauna. And just how much would one expect for a recharge?
Had a part replaced last summer, tech said your freon is fine but if you want more the cost has trippled from what it use to be. So if your using the old R-22 freon, its not cheap. About $90 per pound now for the AC units made before 2010, I think some of that cost comes with the servicing.

90 sounds about right, 6 years ago it was 50 when I had my daughter truck fixed and refilled.
Thank you for your replies.
I'm think though, if one of my A/C units is running hot, does this mean I have a leak? Or do unit need servicing every once and a while? I've been in the house for 6 years bought new.
and that's a different type of freon![]()
freon-12 is the one I was refering too, thanks for pointing that out
