Freon servicing

Anyone know of a reputable service to recharge my A/C? I have a duel system, the bottom floor works fine, but the top floor is a sauna. And just how much would one expect for a recharge?

Try contacting Elite Maintenance @ 321-202-8426, they can generally get out to you quickly, and their prices are very reasonable..I know that they charge per pound of Freon that they put in your unit.. So the price will depend on how low your unit is.

Had a part replaced last summer, tech said your freon is fine but if you want more the cost has trippled from what it use to be. So if your using the old R-22 freon, its not cheap. About $90 per pound now for the AC units made before 2010, I think some of that cost comes with the servicing.

90 sounds about right, 6 years ago it was 50 when I had my daughter truck fixed and refilled.

no, that's on top of the service call. I know. I just had mine done. :bawl: 8 pounds of freon isn't cheap.

Thank you for your replies.

I'm think though, if one of my A/C units is running hot, does this mean I have a leak? Or do unit need servicing every once and a while? I've been in the house for 6 years bought new.

I highly recommend Hall's HVAC 301-769-4999. The owner's name is George Hall- great guy, honest pricing!
