Do you still have a cat trap? Even if we don't want to be the crazy cat people, life has other plans for us. We have a cat staying under our porch. We've seen him down by the creek before but when it gets really cold he decides to stay under our porch. We fed him last night but he would jump off the porch if I reached to touch him.

I also need somewhere where I can get him snipped if I do get him. I'm fairly sure he's a he based on body structure. As much as I love cats, unfixed boy cats in the house are gross.

Anyone want a cat? :banghead:

Yes, I have the trap; not sure if I am going to venture out today based on the reported road conditions. Glad I left out extra food and water for the store kitty!
SPOT can probably provide the money to get him snipped; they will only pay for neutering, though. There are other organizations like PAWS that may help with the shots.
Until the clinic in Huntingtown is open, PAWS and Friends of Felines still run the Promise Wagon every Weds. out of the Safeway shopping center in PF. You drop the animal off (it must be in a carrier) at (I think) 8am, they drive it to Charles county and have the shots and snipping done, you pick the animal up at 4 or 5 pm.

Paying to get him snipped isn't the issue. Getting it done before the little darling can spray in my house is! I'm OCD about my house smelling like animal. :jameo:

There's another. :banghead: We saw it last time there was snow but haven't seen it since so I assumed it belonged to someone and was just trying to get shelter from the weather. MK looked out front a while ago and it was sitting on the front porch.

If anyone knows anyone on Olivet Rd. with a tabby cat or a siamese mix please send them my way because the cats will be trapped. If no one comes for them we'll likely vet and keep the siamese mix and will rehome or send the tabby to a rescue. If anyone knows a rescue that is currently taking cats please let me know. I can handle one but not both.

No crap right. We've seen the siamese mix a lot but today's only the second time we've seen the other one. They have a 6th sense; they know where the cat lovers are. My boy cat was NOT happy about me feeding the siamese mix last night. He likes his harem as it is.

We got them both, 15 minutes apart. Got the tabby and the siamese was hanging out right outside the cage. We took him inside and let him loose in our master bathroom. Well, wasn't he fun.... Everything on the counters was off in 2 seconds, got jumped up on both of the medicine cabinets and tried to get "in" the mirrors. He's totally freaked out so we left food, water and blankets and came back downstairs.

We set the trap back out front with fresh food, I was in the kitchen doing dishes and within a couple minutes I heard the door snap shut. Got the siamese.

We have them both in our bathroom/room. Will post pictures and a classified soon. :jameo:

Congrats!
I bet they were both cold! Glad it wasn't a huge hassle. Try some rescue remedy in their water to calm him down if he is still freaked out.
Could you tell if they were males/ females/ if he still had his sacs?

I hope they don't belong to somebody who just lets them wander about. Cats will do that ...visit other homes with cats and then if you feed them..bang..they'll keep coming back.

I hope they don't belong to someone either. How unfortunate for the siamese mix that is ALWAYS outside all up and down our street that has to take shelter under my porch when the weather gets bad, snow, rain and freezing temps. I don't leave food out regulary, matter of fact this weekend was the second time I ever fed him, the first was the weekend after Christmas when the wind and temps were freezing. This was the second time I'd seen the tabby, the first being the last big snow we had. They both stink to high hell and the siamese is covered in scabs.

People should know better than to let their cats wander with cat theifs in the neighborhood. :coffee:

I'll stop by on my way home from work to get some. Do you carry dry shampoo or those cat wipes too? They both smell awful.

I didn't get to check out the tabby good because he was busy tearing through my bathroom like a bat outa hell and then hid under my bed. The siamese let us both pet him a little. I didn't push my luck and try to inspect his backside though. I think they're both males because they're both of comperable size and structure to my male cat and they both stink like cat spray.

Can I put flyers up in your store? I'm going to get them both checked out and vetted/snipped if need be. I have them isolated away from my cats but I want to make sure they don't have any kitty cooties and are ok. The siamese has the sickliest meow I've ever heard.

Good for you for taking them in :whootwhoot: Have you tried calling place in Lex Park for vetting/snipping? What's that place behind Big Lots, I can't remember the name?
