They were crab balls,
My dinner was ok, wasnt the best Ive ever had, however I will say that it was far from the worse.
Wait time on the drinks was a bit on the long side, but I dont think it was the servers fault. had she been ugly or a guy I would certainly think differently.

Main thing is that we got together again, always enjoy the time with you all.

Just wish I could stop dreaming about Bann... Im trying to sleep and all the sudden she invades my dream wide away and with all this energy.... :killingme

You are sooo right! Food was nothing to write home about. And the wait time for drinks and attention from our server...not so great. Not a place I would ever make a destination dinner trip again.

On the plus side, the server did know the menu and wine list and she was very nice.

Am a little surprised at that, we always go to the one in Prince Frederick and food and service has always been good. However we have never been there in a party of over 6 people. Not sure how big your party was that night, and since they opened the PF location, we haven't been back to the Dunkirk location. I always preferred the atmosphere at the PF location better, but when we used to go to the dunkirk one aside from the atmosphere the food was good.

I didn't get a dinner, as I was having appetizers for dinner - didn't really want to commit to a heavy Italian meal. I order wings, and they were okay, not real meaty. But to be fair, it was an Italian restaurant and I wasn't having Italian food. Got fried zucchini and that was pretty good. I also had a side salad, which wasn't super great - but not horrible.

But, the company was fabulous, as usual, and that's what it's all about, really!

Vince and I had fried calamari that was perhaps the worst I've ever had. But my clam pizza was good, and the waitress knew enough about the wines to steer me in the right direction.

It was merely okay.

OK I admit....

I picked Mama Lucia's and it was very mediocre. They have just redone the place though so it was a good site seeing excursion if you had been there before.

So I am now banned from picking a place for at least a month....:whistle:though a couple of us did sort of mention the Tavern in St Leonard.....They are under new management and are serving food. I see some great looking food go by during pool league nights....though I always forget they're serving now and eat before I get there....

Bah. We like to try new places; not every one of them is going to be a winner. Besides, I think Mango's and Coconut Joe's were your suggestions and they were splendiferous. So you still have a good average.

What about that restaurant up there in North Beach? Is it Trader's? Do we want to try that?

In My Opinion
Again for the record.
I did not really find Mamma Lucios that bad of a pick.
Food was "ok" drink was watered down but I think thats because it sat on a counter for a while and the ice melted before it was brought out.

Traders is OK. There also used to e some good places in Deale, though I can't think of the name of the place now...

I think it was changing management about a year ago....

Is Neptunes still in North Beach?

What about Calypso Bay or Skippers Pier in Deale and Pirates Cove or Thursdays in Galesville?

Like I said, it's friends that count. :huggy: Only one bad pick out of many. I'd say that's a pretty good record.

:nono: It's more about the company anyway! Good service & good food, drinks, etc. are secondary. :huggy:

What? You don't like chewing on fried rubberbands?

So, I've been right about a couple of Italian things.

They do have pretty good pizza. Amazingly, they are jammed almost every night. Just goes to show how desperate we are in the northern end for a sitdown restaurant. :ohwell:

The entire middle part of Calvert from White Sands to the beaches is severely lacking in good dining and entertainment places! :cds:
