FSBO-Anyone doing this?

I'm a total tard when it comes to real estate, but if you use a realtor, can you ask for a little more $$$ to try to compensate for the realtor fees?

I would never do it only because I can't be bothered with the headaches that come along with it. For no headaches when working full-time it is worth the 6% that comes out of the proceeds. We didn't make as much on our house, but honestly I don't care.

My friend is a agent, and I have used her to buy the house we are in now.

6% on $200K is TWELVE GRAND! That's not exactly chump-change!

And even at that price, most folks should hire a professional...

If you need to sell your house FSBO to save the commission, give me a chance to make an offer. I can close in 10 days all cash, or I can make your mortgage payments untils your house sells. An agent won't do that for you.
