POLL: You can pick more then one date, but below reply how many people will be going.

My son, and my daughters school (like all the rest of the schools in SO MD)did a "Hit a Home RUn with Reading" and when they read four books they got a free ticket to a Bowie Baysox game. Well, after my daughter gave her ticket away and I had to find another one, we took the youngins to the game. What a great time had by all.. A LOT more entertaining then a MLB game, with games between innings, sing-a-longs.. dizzy bat, sumo wrestling, etc. Game went into extra innings, then the fireworks, for a minor league team, and almost a weekly event the fireworks were impressive. For that night, two adult tickets ran $7 a piece, I think Reserved Box seats were $12.

At the regular price, I think a family of five can still be entertained for 3 or 4 hours for less then $50. (We ate at McDonalds on the way there saving HUGE $$$$'s)

Think a forum night at the ball park might be in order.. YES there are beer tents!!

I have been several times, when they first opened. It is close by, cheap, fun, a great little stadium and I think a trip will be in order this summer.:yay::yay

So what do you think.. forum night, or private/ personal forum night? I think having an SOMD Forum night at the ball park would be cool.. especiallly if we can get enough people to rent out complete reserved boxes..

I think Vrai ought to look at a somd.com night at the Baysox. :yay:

I love going to see the Baysox. It's a nice stadium, an easy drive from here, relatively inexpensive, and we always have a lot of fun.

We were there too! What a great marketing scheme.

We had a great time, but it was a little chilly. I drank hot chocolate instead of beer.

This is why it would of been nice to have a minor league stadium in Hughesville, nice inexpensive entertain for the family nearby, but no the old fuddy duddies of Hughesville wanted to Perserve Hughesville, its such a nice scenic drive down Rt. 5, old tobacco barns, old storefronts in need of repair. Oh well guess this is another topic. Went to the Nationals game Sunday, great time, its not to far from SoMd., and there tickets prices are reasonable so far, dont know what may happen when they build the new ballpark in a couple of years.

Hughesville depresses me, run down, not taken care of... A ball field would have been a blessing. I can't wait until they build the bypass so I don't have to drive through that crappy "downtown" area.. but have to wonder what the owners of the Harley Dealership are thinking.. sinking that kind of money into a dealership for the by pass to come in and take all your traffic away.

Build a Harley boutique and the lemmings will come.

We did not go. Too much running in the day time between little league games. My son also received a free ticket to six flags for reading a certain amount of books. :yay:
