In My Opinion
Update on Joe Arpaio

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO

HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF
AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:
Sheriff Joe Arpaio (In Arizona )
who created the " Tent City Jail":

He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights Cut off all but "G" movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.

Then He Started
Chain GangsFor Women
So He Wouldn't GetSued For
Discrimination.

He took away cable TV Until
he found out there was
A Federal Court Order that
Required Cable TV ForJails.
So He Hooked Up The CableTV Again
Only Let In The Disney Channel And TheWeather Channel.

When asked why the weather channel
He Replied,
So TheyWill Know
How HotIt's Gonna Be
While TheyAre Working
ON
My Chain Gangs.

He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has
Zero Nutritional Value.

When the inmates complained, he told them,

"This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton.

If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back."

He bought Newt Gingrich' lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails.

When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix

(116 Degrees Just Set A New Record),

the Associated Press Reports:

About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued

Pink Boxer Shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers wereeither curled up on theirbunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached

138 Degrees

Inside The Week Before.

Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towel! s As SweatCollected On Their ChestsAnd Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS.

"It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,"

Said James Zanzot,

An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year.

"It's Inhumane."

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff

who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic

He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates:"It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living InTents Too,

And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear,

But

They Didn't Commit Any Crimes,

So Shut Your Damned Mouths!"

Way To Go, Sheriff!

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeatoffenders.

Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

If you agree, pass this on. If not, just delete it.

Sheriff Joe was just re-elected Sheriffin Maricopa County,Arizona[/COLOR

Just got this one:

Like a lot of folks in this state I have a job. I work they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit. In order to get that paycheck. I am required to pass a random urine test which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them??

Please understand I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ass. Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?????

Please pass this along if you agree or simply Delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along also.

Something has to change in this country and soon!!!!!!!

This isn't too far fetched, meaning it is coming and some counties are starting to test. They have to provide clean urines in order to apply for benefits. That "I'm disabled" crap when they are using drugs needs to be stopped. The program is there for a reason, not to get your check on a Friday and spend the weekend cracked out.

And I'm sure no honest tax payer would disagree with urine testing. However, the Social Service office has a tough time keeping people as is, can you imagine trying to keep an employee that collects pee all day? :faint:

BCP,

I  me some Joe

Methodically disorganized
I remember one arrest on "Cops" several years ago where the lead officer recognized the suspect. The guy was a regular at the 'revolving door'. Either he was on the street committing crimes or he was in jail living a surprisingly comfortable life. No reason to change, and the cop knew it was futile when he arrested the guy too.

Arpaio should unilaterally assume control of California's prison system... what a beautiful world it would be.

It will still leave me all wet and smelly
Actually, it won't. The sweat evaporates immediately. The tough thing is that you have to drink water frequently because you will get dehydrated and not even know it.

Did you see the segment on the morning news recently where he has started the "American Idle" contest at the prison? They had a panel of judges, who included Alice Cooper (a personal friend of the warden) and an Elvis impersonator. :killingme

The winning contestant's prize? They got their meal for free! :lmao:
