Gas Prices

:coffee: So, anyone out and about at lunchtime that can tell me if gas has gone up... again... since I came to work this morning?

I swear, if it gets too much higher, I may have to consider getting rid of my beloved SUV and getting something with good gas mileage.

But I love my SUV. :tantrum

Me too - I drive my hummer to work every day, and I let it sit in the parking lot idling.

Don't worry, though - I use the club and it's got Lojack, so I'm not worried about it getting stolen.

I just like the sound it makes when it runs all day long.

I can hear it from here.... purring like a kitten.

:blushing: I think it's cute.

But also, I've gotten used to the room in the cargo area and even more when I fold down the seats. I live on a farm and it's off roading capability is very useful, especially when things get muddy or snowy. I like that the interior has no carpet, so my kids can't destroy it like they have the other vehicles I had with carpet.

But my gas mileage... :sigh: it's about 20mpg. :ohwell: And that is wasn't a big deal a couple of months ago. And I can still handle it now...but if things really do get to $4.00/gallon or even close to that - UGH. Then I really have to assess if it's worth it.

Filled up the bike today with 93 octane. $8.95 :lmao: I love motorcycles.

Yeah, I hear that alot. But I'd be hard pressed to get the 5 year olds car seat on it and I just know the 12 year old would NOT like her hair getting messed up. And I just don't see getting the weekly groceries home easily...or my trips to Lowe's, Target, etc. :lmao:

I get 25-30 mpg with my Subaru wagon. All wheel drive, good ground clearance, and floor mats are available for ANY car. Plus it's designed to not tip over when you load it up.

... and the heated seats rock in the winter time :yay:

Yeah, I can see that being able to drive on the farm.

As far as mats go - they don't make one my kids can't get around. :lmao:

I'm thinking since it's so cheap to fill up a motorcycle, I might just go siphon the gas out of all the motorcycles I see sitting around. There's two out front of my work right now! :yay:

not sure if it went up since lunch, but it was 2.89(regular) at wawa when i filled up this morning; not sure what your suv take but 3.09/.07 for premium...
i'm considering taking the commuter bus now that the weather is changing; only thing, it adds to my commute :burning:

My vehicle can take regular, though it has more power on premium, but not enough of a difference to matter to me! It's getting the cheap stuff!

I live less than a mile from work so I could care less what happens to the gas prices.

There's nothing about a rainbow Subaru station wagon that rocks, not even heated seats.

probably not.
The difference is it's resistance to detonate in a high compression engine. If your owner manual doesn't reccomend it, you're wasting your money.
