I drive a bike that gets 45 - 50 MPG.. I get wet when it rains, I get cold when it's cold out, but I only spend about $12 to fill up my tank with Premium, and it lasts about a week.

**My truck has a 30 gallon tank and gets 10 miles to the gallon.. if you do the math my truck is WAAAAAY more economical. It can go THREE hundred miles between tankfuls, whereas my bike can only go 200.
I am doing the math....what price are you putting on "wet and cold"?

Wet and cold together are VERY rare down here, and usually I'll do one or the other, but not both.

The riding gear they have out there now, I'm always comfortable. Matter of fact, I was much more comfortable in January then I was in the heat of August.

You can get a bike now with heated hand grips (got those) heated seats (don't have that) and heated pants, jackets, socks and gloves (don't have any of that), so you can be comfortable in ANY temperature.

not that this is important and only semi-related to the story....but eggs last longer than a week!
Yes. And the fact remains that whether you buy your eggs 2 each day, or 14 each week, you will still purchase and consume 14 eggs.

No, not proud, just doing my part to keep from getting screwed by the gas companies and putting my hard earned money in their pockets. Why, do you drive a SUV?

:killingme

Really, I was only making a statement and showing that I am not a hypocrite. There was no need to be ugly.

Why yes I do drive an SUV sometimes, other times I drive my full-sized Chevy pickup with a fossil fuel sucking 350ci V8. I will not compromise the safety of my family by driving a soda can with wheels, just to save a few bucks at the pump. Besides, I doubt a compact car would tow my fossil fuel sucking boat, anyway. I am happy you are happy doing your part.

Sorry if I offended.:flowers:
