Gay's in the military?

I don't believe that.

Not only is it immoral behavior. Putting these people together in these circimstances will aways , always lead to problems. It's bad enough with woman soldiers who get pregant while serving..I am Not saying woman should not serve some role in the service, they should. But mixing them with men is a bad combination. Its common sense.

So youre in the barracks and you go down to the latrine and here are two gay guys getting it on. Or you wake in the morning and they get up and give each other a big french kiss. . Or you are in the shower and this gay guy comes and stares at you while you shower. How about the guy is a Sgt and you want leave so he say's give me some head and you've got it. How about you refuse and the Sgt makes life miserable for you.
How about you go to take a dump and the guy is over in the next stall patting his feet and looking under the stall.hey it happens with congressmen, you think it wont happen in the military.

There are so many scenario's that it is almost endless. Why take the chance when the present system works.

When they finally allowed women in the military at the same capacity as men they had to build all new dormitories for them, and showers and other accommodations that were separate from men. Gay men are attracted to other men, therefore putting in the same accommodations as hetero men will not work. Harassment charges will be rampant. How do you make accommodations for gays? Do you put gay men in with the hetero women? Do you put them in with the gay women? You can’t build dorms and showers for gay men so they can live together; that would equate to putting hetero men and women in the same dorms and showers. Not to mention the cost of building all these new accommodations on every military installation.

I think the point is.. legal or illegal, gays serve.

You can tell them no, you can tell them don't tell.. but for the entire time our country has had an organized military there have been gays serving, and there always will be.

I personally think there are THOUSANDS of jobs in the military gays can do, I don't know about having them serve in Male only professions, mainly for their safety. An Infantry platoon finds out this guy they've bem showering with, sharing a tent with for the last year is gay, it may not be a pretty sight.

Bottom line is, no matter what we do they are going to serve, so why no step up and do something to make it more viable an idea. Find places and jobs they can do, and if they are willing to serve let them. Gay or not, if they are willing to serve they are better men then 90% of the straight population that won't.

That is true. It is not like gay people are going to attack you in the shower or be unprofessional in their duties.

On the other hand, if gay people were not allowed to serve it would be a discrimination and think of how many people would use that excuse if it ever comes to a draft.

Aside from Grammar Nazism, unless you've served in the military or are currently in the military, why should you care?

I'd prefer that they screen the creeps out. You know, the ones up in sub school in Groton keeping their pee in bottles. The morons who are so stupid that they're paying child support when dey's not the behbeh's daddy not married to the behbeh's mamma, not in the same state as the impending train wreck and getting "Working Mother" magazine delivered to work.

There are predators in every branch and it doesn't matter what sex you are when it comes to being attacked.

The only thing that would annoy me about serving with someone who was openly ghey is that I couldn't make my favorite derogatory comment about them being gay. It's no fun if you're actually gay to call you a homo. Kinda like actually calling someone with Down's a retard. I mean, what's the point.
