Just give me a shot and let me go to sleep. Its humane for our pets, why not us.

Isn't HOSPICE a form of Assisted Suicide? Its been mentioned to me that they aren't as restricted with pain meds.

Thats exactly what it is.
When I did Hospice on my father in Florida, once accepted into Hospice when the person is deceased you call the Hospice nurse, And whatever mortuary services they picked come and pick up the body. No coroner was involved.
Hospice provides plenty of the necessary drugs to painlessly put a human to sleep for good.

Not really. Those in hospice are already past the point of any hope, and aren't admitted to a hospice facility unit final days/hours. They medicate to alleviate pain only, counsel, and try to make the passing as dignified as possible for the patient and the family.

Same applies to in-home hospice.

My dad and our family went thru hospice a couple of years ago.

My dad and our family went thru hospice a couple of years ago.

So a lot of years ago an acquaintance of mine was caring for his mother who had home hospice and was getting IV morphine. long story short he got drunk one night and stole a syringe full of morphine from mom without having built up her tolerance and didn't make it through the night.
