Eh...for Ford, I'll donate the day. Poor guy had to step into Nixon's toilet and clean up the mess, only to lose to a peanut farmer. He suffered enough. Bless his soul.

Some may argue the country is safer with me taking the day off. I fully agree...at least when it comes to January 2nd.

Just trying to keep the world safe...sleeping in could save us all.

did a pretty good job of getting America back on track after difficult times.
He did?

If that's the case, then Jimmy Carter was a bigger screwup than I thought.

I was ok until they showed the last shot of her and she was really trying hard to hold back the tears.
It's hard to hold it together when you have 350 people at your dad's funeral. I can't imagine how hard it was for her.

Jazz and I saw the looooong line outside the Capitol building tonight at 10pm. Tons of people there waiting to get in.

Indeed, there's an estimated 3 hour wait to get in currently, and tomorrow the projected wait in line is 6 hours.

We weren't interested in the long line wait.

All of these men (our Presidents) command our respect !
Some are greater than others.
None of them got to that position without some or much manner of integrity
and/or dedication to our country (at least initially), be they right or wrong in their ideals.
Anyhow, I would even take my hat off to old bubba, if he
were to kick off today!
I would vote for Nixon tomorrow if he were alive and running.
They are all good in some ways, and are all corrupt in some ways.
It is the most powerful and the toughest job in world!.
They all should be in our prayers.

"Holy sh!t, where's the tylenol"

...I'm scared.

Respect for the office is one thing. In the military, they say you salute the uniform, not the man.

Nixon was a disaster. He expanded the federal government in ways LBJ would have never dreamed of. He is the man who made the federal bureaucracy the nightmare it is today.

Clinton has no respect for his wife, friends or family. It is mind numbing to me to think of someone whose mindset was to have sex with some kid in the oval office, while conducting business, with anything but bemusement or contempt.

LBJ was the gold standard for institutionalizing poverty and misery and set the stage for Nixon.

To establish the premise that simply becoming the President is grounds for respect is, to me, to reinforce the premise of appearance over performance.

George Will said of Bill Clinton; He wanted to BE president. He said of Ronald Reagan; He wanted to DO president.

The morass of individual selfishness and disdain for accountability Clinton stained this nation with is mindnumbing.

Hopefully, Gerald Ford will be the last of his kind. What are you talking about, Mr Cranium? Well, this is what I mean:

Jimmy Carter - GA
Ronald Reagan - CA
George H W Bush - TX
Bill Clinton - AR
George W Bush - TX

Let's keep the yankees out of the White House!

Your ignorance is amazing.

Reagan - Illinois
Bush I - Massachusetts
Bush II - Connecticut

Respect for the office in general was more where is was coming from.
Sometimes I put my old Don Quixote dark sunglasses on when I rant (especially @ 12:30 am and a couple of libations).
Nixon was a disaster and I really wouldn't vote for him today.
And slick willie really was a disgrace!
Sometimes I try to look at the good side of everyone even though
sometimes I don't find a lot there.
Gerald Ford on the other hand seemed to be of outstanding moral quality
despite his lack of earth shattering achievements.
They All still need our prayers !

and don't be "scared" when I tell you that I usually have
my Quixote dark sunglasses on when I make my football pool picks.
All is good.
