WOW!!!! What a beautiful puppy!!! I like the long coat, but don't think I'd like the maintenance that goes with it. Between Charlie and his lab mix little adopted sister, the hair in the house is out of control.

Bear is a very fitting name for him. Especially in the first shot.

I also had a black dog named Bear, but he was a Schipperke and probably would have made a nice snack for your Bear:biggrin:

My sister has one of those. Cute little dog with the original name of "Pepper."

That is pretty cute:smile:

He was a great little dog. You could take him everywhere and he really loved kids. Stubborn as heck though!

Loved the kids that is until.....a 4 yo little boy that used to come over would torment him. Bear would usually just get away from him. Bear retreated to his crate one day and, while my back was turned, the boy decided it would be a good idea to crawl in there after him. BAD, BAD move:burning:

Bear bit him in the face. :bawl: He was never the same after that. He bit my, then toddler, son a couple of times over the next 6 months and he had to go. We tried everything. I am always very careful about watching how kids treat the animals, but Bear had made up his mind that he no longer liked kids and took every opportunity to growl at them. We couldn't even take him to the park. It was very distressing to have to cringe every time a kid got near him. Even more distressing to let him go. We found a nice home for him in VA with an elderly couple. He is now a very happy, and very spoiled dog.

All it takes in ONE little POS to mess up a good dog.

Yeah, you're right. I mean we got on the kid all the time for messing with the dog and did our best to keep him away from him, but my ex was his babysitter, so we decided to try to train everyone in the picture, dog and kid alike. I learned a very valuable lesson from that experience.

Luckily, we don't have that problem with the daycare kids.

One little one does like to sit on the GSD so we put Heidi in the kitchen with the gate up. She can jump the gate but knows the kid can't get to her there.

Sounds like the perfect setup. The dog feels safe, but not trapped and the kid is safely restricted. Can't get much better than that.

Beautiful puppies Barb! They all look very happy and somewhat spoiled  But that's O.K.

A lab in the water....who'd a thunk it?

Pretty Eskie. Had one of those too. Mine had some cream mixed in with her white coat. Her name was Kaluha. Lots and lots of fur!

:blushing: And here I thought I was commingling with decent folk.

It seems that, all the while, there are a few of my twisted brethren alive, kicking....and posting:spank:

:really: Oh yeah? Does she have a dog too?

So are you trying to pass yourself off as an angel by comparing yourself to her?

I get the feeling we've "strayed" from the dog topic here.

I've ventured out into the other forums and seen some of the stuff that she's posted. My guess is that she doesn't post about Chihuaha's much? (Did I spell that right?) Not that that makes her a bad girl......

Sxy's dogs

Actually I forgot about Nestle - though she's not often mentioned by Sxy.

So I guess the answer to "Does she have a dog too?" is ummmm....not really.

Nestle is a chocolate lab.
