Looks like Company A will be sending me an offer shortly, soon as I send in
an application, they check references, and verify my education.
I have an interview with Company B next Wednesday, and I'm
expecting to hear final word on Company C on Thursday as well.
At this point, Company C is my first choice. I'm going to stall a
little and send in the application late tomorrow afternoon so that
they can't start processing it and calling my references until Monday.
Which means right about the time they're getting ready to FedEx the
offer, I'm going to be meeting with Company B and Company C, and
letting them know that I may have to make a decision very quickly, so
they need to move if they're going to make a move (put in a much more
polite way, of course).
Say your prayers or send good vibes, whatever you prefer, that Company C comes through for me next week, because I'm most excited about
that, and that in the process of trying to stall I don't stall too
long and lose an opportunity with Company A.
I've never been in a situation where I've had the possibility of
receiving multiple offers at once before. So this is all new territory
for me, and I'm going to have to tread lightly in order not to blow
any of them.
