Getting a Pom/Yorkie fixed..

Anyone know a good place i can take my Yorkie/Pom. to get fixed, that is inexpensive, but trustworthy. She will be 1 next month. The vet i take her to charges $150, without pain meds and so forth. And the humane society is $110. Any ideas or suggestions?!?!

Have you looked into the Well Pet Clinic? I took my Yorkie and my Shih Tzu/Bichon there. I can't rememeber off the top of my head how much it was, but it wasn't too expensive and they were so good to the puppies....:buddies:

I took one of my kitties and my pup to well pet to get fixed. Good price, they healed up great, and I got pain meds for my female's spay for a little bit extra.

yup i agree..Having animals costs money what she going to do when the dog is due for shots or the dog gets sick or has health issues since it sounds like she really doesn't have the money to care for the dog as it is?

There is nothing wrong with shopping around to find a better price. She doesn't have to just pay what her vet charges.

You are probably closer to the Waldorf Well Pet Clinic. I had my Boston done there in December. She got pain Meds, and a Lamp Shade, and did just fine. Here's the number: (301) 885-0263. AKA: Last Chance Animal Rescue. The Doctors there are GREAT.

Sorry for wanting to shop around.. what the #### is so wrong about that.. For the 2 that agreed with you, how many people just told me they took there dog to other places BESIDES the damn vet. ANd i can afford her shots and everything else. SOrry i dont see spending $400-$500 when i know there are other places who do the SAME DAMN THING for ALOT less. I can afford if she got sick.. Im not an idiot!!! Also- NO WHERE did i say that i could not afford it. for all YOU know, i could have thousands of dollars in my account- so keep your negative commments to your damn self. If i wanted negative comments i would of asked you.

Well said.... as most vets do charge a crazy fee for a spay vs neuter.. and the will even charge a larger fee for a large breed dog

Its not a matter of her not being able to afford the dog... I know girlygirl and she us a good pet owner

For some of you fools :coughcough: if the vet told u to walk out infront of a car .. im sure ur dumb enough to do so..(u know who im talking to)

I would NOT drop 400 on a spay... its a major rip off if the pet is healthy.

And don't get me started on shots... that is the biggest ripoff ur bet sucks u into

Isn't it crazy, the people that will pick you apart? This Lady just wants to get her Pup fixed, at a decent price. Vets are way too expensive, and Well Pet Clinics are the place to go for GOOD care. Don't we all look for good deals? What's wrong with that? I hope that you can help her out icit!!

At least she is getting the dog spayed ... so she doesn't bring unwanted dogs in the world.. and most of all she doesn't have to deal w a pyo later in the dogs life

She is a great person.. and responsible ..
