Good for you getting her spaded and not wanting to breeded her, or make some money off her for the price you paid.
You prob thought i was an idiot too reading that sentence - but thats what i have to listen to on a daily basis working in a vets office. At least this person is being a responsible pet owner, besides the not wanting to bring unwanted puppies into the world, her pet has a much lower chance of mammary cancer amongst other things such as a pyometra.
At the clinic I work at, we are more concerned with your pet being spayed than where you get it done. Granted, we would like to do it, 1 to keep the clients business, but 2 to offer things some well pet clinics can't offer, such as bloodwork, pain meds, iv fluids, iv catheter, precautions we take to make things safer for the pet. We have fixed a few "mishaps" from numerous well pet clinics but for the most part, you will get the same outcome - an ovariohysterectomy: no ovaries or uterus = no puppies.
