Getting pissed, too

Along the same lines as Unix's thread, I need help...

Just when you think you've got the little rodents under control, they find a new way to get you. One of mine has taken to reaching under the hall closet door, and shaking the door. This only occurs at night when we are trying to sleep, and is a means of getting attention. Anything I've done to discourage it has done the exact opposite. My options are limited, since the closet is directly across from my daughter's room and I don't want to wake her up. Otherwise, the verbal intimidation that I mentioned in the other thread would be applied.

I tried putting some sticky masking tape on the bottom of the door. That worked briefly before the tape stuck to the carpet. Maybe some other sort of sticky material?

The cat will soon be banished to the garage if it doesn't stop. Help!

Learned this at a Wildlife Control clall given by DNR,
Pine-Sol, full stregnth, on a cloth in a pan ( a dish) by your door.
All animals are repelled by the oder. Do not delute it, use it right out of the bottle, and not to much either.
Works indoors, ourdoors, from mice to deer.
Use nightly and refresh as needed. Eventually the cat will learn to keep away and go somewhere else.
Plus your house will smell Pine Sol fresh.

This will work on counter tops too!.

:lmao: You have no idea how close I am to such drastic measures. It's not wise to wake me up.
We have been locking our cat in the laundry room at night because he likes to get into things and make noise at ungodly hours. He howled about being locked in there the first couple of nights, but he is over that now and has adapted. Anywhere warm you can put him at night that he can't get out of?

Can you leave the closet door open at night?

My kitties sleep at the foot of my bed and behave all night long.

Ditto..plus mine have a lot of toys to play with ( in their cat room) if they get bored during the night.

We have 2 cats, and one of them is just like that. It's the other little hellion that I consider making into a pair of warm, stripey slippers.

Thanks everybody, I see some easy-to-do suggestions. If any of them work I'll fill you in. Or I'll post a picture of my brand new footwear.

Oh you haven't lived till you've had two ten pound felines tumble across you at 3 a.m.!! :faint: Or when they decide to have Kitty Nascar in the middle of the night and the bed is turn 1! Sometimes I "bump draft" their butts right off the bed! :lmao:
