getting rid of old truck

Seems like there was a place that bought used vehicles, not exactly junk, I just can't find a buyer for this 70 F100. Some rust, runs, but no interest.

So do I, but for the last couple years the standard deduction has been best for me. That will be my last resort to get it out of here.

Ok here is the info. Son bought it a few months back because he wanted a truck and he intended to partially restore it. Thing ran really well. The guy had rebuilt the motor, 302. Now bored to 307, put in some kind of cam, headers and a Holley 650. Said he drove it daily. Had Street Rod plates on it. Got it home and son went to work all it really needed was a clutch return spring. He ordered other stuff for it and started to do things like a new stereo (of course). Anyway one day it wouldn't start. I thought since no spark it was coil or something simple. Well we couldn't find the prob. Took it to get fixed. Turns out it has an after market ignition module. Cost me almost $400. They called and said, well it runs, but barely, we think the distributor is clocked wrong. I explained it ran fine before it just didn't. Well they did it anyway and now it runs, but backfires. So I think they got a bad module or crossed some wires or something.

Anyway son left for CO a couple months ago and I am leaving Sat. Need to get it gone. Oh 3 on the tree. Good brakes, tires, and has almost all original parts as far as I can tell. If I was staying I would have it fixed up.

Sounds like its way too complete for what I'm looking for...see last post, above.

Yep, this is a long bed anyway, ripe for a restoration, partial or full.

There is a '66 long bed for sale on the side of 301, out past King George almost to Mt. Carmel. Needs some rust repair but otherwise solid. Guy is asking $6800....those older Ford trucks are increasing in value.

What do you have to have for it? My neighbor was looking for something that age. I'd be interested, except I already have a mid-70s F100.

I would like to find a 52 F1 Panel Truck ..... my deceased ex-wife drove one in high school

many fond memories ... trips to KD, sneaking friends into Drive In Theaters

- but that old Panel Truck was rare ..... you do not see many for sale anywhere
my Ex-BIL was being a dick when they disposed of my exFIL estate ... and would not talk to me

this would be nice:

There's an old ford panel in the corn field, on the northbound side of 4, across the street from what once was a motorcycle dealership, then gymnastic studio, don't know what it is now. You cannot see the truck right now, it's covered in vines, but it's there. You can see the vine patch, with the vine patch that used to be a barn behind it, in the middle of the corn field.
