Your daughter is too old to be sucking on a bottle, much less getting put to bed with one. That said, it's not worth fighting with your wife about. No kid ever died by sucking a bottle into toddlerhood.

Mine never did. She was never attached to her pacifier either.

I took the pacifiers away from both of mine by 6 months. Never got attached and neither one has ever picked up thumb sucking either.

I think as long as your child is being taught good oral hygiene from the beginning that she will be fine. I personally don't agree with putting a child to bed with a bottle, but to each his own. Hang in there. It does get better
