Oh the stories, the horror of it all. Yes, a generator is a good idea. Even if it's just a small one to power a few lights and space heater. It's hard to shoot at looters when it is dark and your hands are freezing.

That's not always true. Our phones are dead but when people call, they get the answering machine. :shrug:
