If I may ...
I also have friends and family in LE,, but We have rules and regulations with our Great Flag..
The flag should never have anything placed on it. The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose.
LE has no business putting a blue line on a USA Flag or using a USA Flag with a blue line on it to advertise for LEO's..
Exactly! Where is it written in US Code that altering our Nation's Flag, the symbol of freedom and unity, (irrespective of today's political environment), is acceptable? These whiny children are just looking for unearned recognition just for wearing a costume and badge. I saw a Sheriff patrol vehicle today. On the back rear window was a vinyl stenciled, In God We Trust with a blue line in between God and we, taking up the entire bottom left corner, (a quarter of the space), of the rear window. (Who in the hell authorized that!?) Saw a Solomon's rescue vehicle with a vinyl stenciled American Flag in white only covering the entire back window with a red line running through it. (Who in the hell authorized that!?) This stuff has got to stop. And let's not ever forgot what that "thin blue line" really means. It means that if something happens, such as a questionable shooting, treatment of a citizen, to one of their own, the wagons circle protecting them, even if absolutely guilty of malfeasance. The only flag, if they want to wear, and or authorized to wear, should only be the Nation's Flag in full color, or in subdued form, such as a soldier would wear on their uniform. These men and women are no more special than any other to warrant, and allow, such disrespect of our Nation's Flag. What it really is. Is that they are too god damned lazy to design something original. But it doesn't matter anyway. Because whatever it could/would be, it would still be divisive. Hogan is way wrong on this one. I have nothing but contempt, disdain, and disrespect, for that blue line flag, and for those that continence it. Same with the red line flag. Or any other alteration.
