Happy for all the children having fun in the snow for the first time!

My big dog is enjoying running around. The small one says...nope!

Well, it hasn't been pleasant over here in RoseRedville. I woke up this morning to 50* in the house. :ohwell:

Got my shower and headed to the office at 6:30. Spoke with my furnace/boiler dude at 8:30 and he was sending someone to my house at 10. Home again, home again, jiggity-jig. As a thought, I checked my oil tank. EMPTY! Last auto delivery was 6 Dec. Called BurchOil and told them I have an emergency, and she said she'd have someone here today. One hour later, 2 guys showed up with 5-gallon containers and loaded me up with 20 gallons of oil. Even came inside to make sure the furnace started and was running, even though I don't have a contract with them. Not even an hour later, the delivery truck showed up and topped me off and again, the guy came in to make sure all was running well. I definitely give them props for such speedy service! My regular guy is still going to drop by today to make sure all is in order. I am now at a balmy 59* and thank goodness for my portable heater, thanks @Kyle!

Yeah, I made a phone call today to find out when my next auto delivery was scheduled. I’m on for the first week of February.

Wait, you used a whole tank in a month and a half???
It's been cold and I've been at home most of the time. Went back to work (after 8 weeks off) finally but had to telework 4 of the 5 days the first week due to weather, Carter's funeral and always telework on work Fridays.

I have a service contract with them and have never been made to wait more than 2 hours for service, even on off-hours.

Glad you're back up and running.
They are quick to respond. I was told over the phone that they tried to make a delivery on the 19th (Sunday) but couldn't because my driveway was impassable. I told her that was not accurate since I have been getting in and out just fine and I don't even have a truck. I told the guys the same thing when they were here the first time. They just kind of glanced at each other and didn't say anything.

Sounds like the lady on the phone used to work for UPS.
