Cheseldines near Walmart. They know their stuff, they're honest, and if it ain't broke they don't fix it.

Years back I took my car in to have the brakes serviced. I told them what I thought they needed and that I only had like $400 on me so could they please let me know if it was going to go over that amount. I think it came to maybe $50 or some really low figure and what I had complained about was fixed. Furthermore, what I said I wanted done, they said didn't need to be done - there was still plenty of wear left (or words to that effect).

I've been elsewhere around here. Most of the time if I said I only had $400 - the bill miraculously came to $400. Odd.

You think you'd learn after a while.

I had a bad brake light a couple of weeks ago and went to the Exxon station on Great Mills Rd. 5 minutes and $7 bucks later I was on my way. Good place!

As usual I don't know what you're talking about but thanks for commenting.

Which illustrates my point pretty nicely.

Ever heard a variation of this?
City guy standing before the local magistrate (who also owns the bar, post office, and local greasy spoon) in a southern town notorious for its speed traps: How much is the fine for speeding, yer honor?
Hiz honor: how much you got, son?
City guy: $150.00, sir
Hiz honor: Well, that's a damn fine coincidence!

Don at Leonardtown Service Center will do you right.......and one 'helluva nice man...:yay:

You must be a lady, any man could that himself for $2.00 or less.

Nope. I haven't had to change a bulb in a long time and, when I didn't see any screws holding the lens cover on, thought they might have started using those danged plastic snaps that I frequently break. Figured I see how it was done and decide if it was worth the hassle for next time.

BTW, your math is a little off. The bulb costs $5.49 at Auto Zone. So I paid $1.49 in labor. That's less than minimum wage if you add in the 5-10 minutes to buy the bulb.

Even the time I waste replying is worth more than that.

Dam, bulbs are getting expensive, but I know what you mean about no screws, took me about 20 minutes to figure out how the new car light cover comes off, yea they turned out to be pop out type, but my bulb was about 2 bucks. I gave my own self a lesson and you payed for a lesson, ok not bad.

Damn. Thats a harsh, sexist statement. Maybe the $7 was not that big of a deal to them or maybe they didnt have a S/D handy.

NOT a sexest statement, we all know women most women don't have interest in knowing anything about a car except that it runs and can get them to a store.
