Good Bye Ole Girl

Well today I had to say goodbye to my ole girl. She was ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge. She said goodbye to me with her eyes and I held her as she passed. I dont think I'll ever find another one that was as sweet and gentle as she. She lived with me for 18 years and I can honestly say, she was very much loved and cared for. I think she was just hanging on because she knew I wanted her to. Bye Babygirl........you will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. One of mine will probably be walking the Rainbow bridge soon himself.

You have my sympathy :huggy:

so sorry for you loss... they do break our hearts, but they lightened our lives so much, it's only right that you feel like your heart is aching. In time you will have the "space" to love another dear friend.

sorry for your loss. Are you doing OK?

Still crying, but I know she is better now. I miss her so much and I'm shocked how much it hurts. But I will be alright. Thanks for asking Ginwoman. How is your little guy making out? No more problems from the shots I hope.

Thank you all for your well wishes. To those of you who have lost a dear four legged family member, so sorry for your loss, I know what you have gone thru. I have food and medication that my girl was taking. Any ideas on what to do with it? I was thinking about an animal shelter, but dont want to give it to a kill shelter, is there a no kill shelter in the tricounty area?

I hope that you are doing better this morning, it will take awhile. If the bags of food are open, they may not take them. As far as the medicine goes, maybe give it to your Vet so that he, or she can give it to someone that otherwise doesn't have the money. Take care of yourself!!

He is so much better. Still favors his right rear paw and leg some. We're keeping an eye on it and he goes back to vet next week for his 2nd Lyme shot. Part of me says don't get the 2nd Lyme shot after seeing what it did last time. I'm going to think about it. Thanks for asking luv

I hope that you reconsider getting that second Lyme Shot. I'm not so sure it really is nessisary. Years ago, they had a series of Lyme Injections for people. Almost as soon as CDC released it, that Immunization was taken off the market. I don't know if you remember my post about my Pup having a reaction to Boardatella, or the Lymes. We couldn't pin point it because they were given at the same time. If your Pup is still favoring the paw, and the leg after about 2 weeks, something isn't right I would think.
