Anybody know of a good Chinese take-out place between the base Gate II and Rt 249? I feel like Gen. Tso's (sp?) chicken and veggie fried rice.

Wow.....I haven't been to Peking since I was in grade school.
Hunan Wok sounds good though. I never remember that place for some reason. I'll have to stop by on my way home. Thanks. :-D
Hey, has anybody been to the buffet place in L'town. I make an absolute pig outta myself when I go there (with my folks) every now and then; but, it's in L'town.....by the time I got there after work, during the week, it would prob'ly be packed.

You know what? I go by Callaway Shopping Center every day and I have never been to the China Cafe.
I think I'll stop in there on my way home.

OK.. soo. where is a good place near Oakville. I miss good chinese. When I lived in upper marlboro I went to Graces Fortune. In waldorf it was schezwan garden. I work in Laplata and Hunan Star was the only decent place in there and that place has gone to hell too.

I think Jerry's is awful. I think Peking is just okay. I love Hunan Wok!
Peking is gross! China cafe is good but anytime I've eaten it I've gotten a horrible migraine afterwards. Not too sure what they cook in. Jerry's is ok but the portion sizes are smaller than most chinese restaurants. The place in St. Mary's square is pretty good. I think its Hunan Wok, but I'm not 100% sure.

China Cafe is decent...both of them. One recently opened up in that shopping center with K-Mart/Food Lion along 235.
Haven't been to Peking in years.
Avoid New York Buffet like the plague. The food sucks.
I've always been a fan of Bon Buffet.
People rave about that one in Leonardtown but I don't think their stuff is any better/worse than any of the others in the area.
Honestly, I've never found a place down here that consistently serves good chinese food. One time it'll be great and the next time, it'll suck. So, the best of luck to you!

Not sure of the name of the one near Food Lion/K-mart, but do not go there. Pretty bad problem when cockroaches crawl across the floor in the dining area. When told about it, they came from behind the counter with broom and dustpan, swept it up and returned like nothing happened. That was certainly a food suppressant!
China Harbor is the best quality I have found, but certainly not a short drive from your area to Solomons.
