That is how it was with me.
I don't know if you have a TV in your area, but when people would complain, I would say, where else can you go and watch TV while working. Plus, I just like knowing about everything going on in the county.
The big joke was when people would complain, I would say, keep it up, and you'll end up getting demoted to a "......", have to work shift work, sit in a uncomfortable chair for 8, 12, or 16 hours, and work a bunch of days straight.
