Maybe Trump could cut expenses to make up for the loss caused by the purely partisan impeachment process. It wouldn't be the first thing that Trump did to fix the fuch-ups of the Democrats in Congress (and elsewhere).
It's good to see a person like you acknowledge the purely partisan impeachment process was a waste of money, though. Good job!

What "loss"? We're paying these people anyway and they don't get OT pay for impeachments.
If anything, it's a win. They spend time focusing on the impeachment and less time trying to screw over the general public with more useless laws and taxes.
I'm going to disagree here, wasting time on it is screwing over close to half of the country.

Your assumption is that they would only do different bad things if they weren't impeaching a president in a purely partisan manner without evidence.
While that may be true, it does not mean they did not waste time, and thus money (paid to do stuff they shouldn't have been doing) because they would do different stuff they shouldn't be doing.
That they would waste money in a different way did not absolve them from wasting money in this way.
