Good Massage

I can't say enough about the business AND the massage. It's been 13 years since I've had a massage (uncomfortable with people I don't know rubbing my body, my massage therapists moved away, no time, excuses, etc) Thanks to this thread, I found relief, and a place I felt at home in right away.

:yahoo: I agree. great place. glad you checked it out.

I've never had one. I guess it's time to broaden my horizons. I hear the deep tissue is good.

Thank you for posting about it. :yay:

I bought a gift certificate for D and will be making an appt. for him. He's never had one, but I know he will enjoy it...once I get him on the table. :wench:

I've had the deep tissue before. I prefer the "regular".

They might offer a sampling. Call and ask.

I thought I would never, ever go in for a massage. Not my cup of tea. But I finally broke down and just did it and it was awesome! It was just a regular massage, not the deep tissue.

I should go more often - my shoulders & neck would thank me. But they can be pricey & I always find something less frivolous & more practical I ought to spend my money on.

There is nothing frivolous about easing shoulder/neck/back pain...not to mention stress tension. I haven't been angry about anything since I had my massage. Bliss.

I will continue to shop grocery store sales, start clipping coupons (and use them on top of the sales, but only if), and continue wearing my old clothes to pay for my new addiction.

I know, I carry all my stress there. It's awful, sometimes. I didn't mean to imply anyone else was frivolous for doing it, just that my practical/budgeting side always seems to take over and win the debate when I'm thinking of having one. There's always something the kids need more or a house project needing to be done.

It's not spoiling yourself. It's doing your children and your body a favor. :flowers:

I LOVE a massage, but I'm like you....spending that kind of money seems wasteful (we don't make much $$), but it feels oh so good. I have been really wanting one lately. Recently got my hair highlighted and that set me back of $100.......Its expensive to stay beautiful and stress free :cds:

I spend about $15 every 6 - 8 weeks on a haircut. I don't do anything but a cut and blow dry. I spent $40 for a half hour massage today at Michelle Lea's. It's only $65 for an hour and am definitely doing the hour next time. Hell, maybe I'll spend the night and they can massage me all night. It is THAT good. While waiting for Wenchy to get out (she was scheduled a half hour after me), they brought me a warm squinchy thing for my neck and a blanket and I promptly fell sound asleep in their comfy chairs. This is going to be a monthly thing for me. I have all sorts of issues with the bone cancer, neuropathy, etc., but I feel 100% better tonight than I have in a year. My feet, especially, because they are the most painful thing right now. They are great. I can't say enough good things.

That is wonderful. So glad you are feeling better. I think massages can be tax ded as a medical expense if your Doc. recommends it.

I remember how much better I felt, it was incredible. I'll have to see if they're over here anyplace. Maybe give them a try. $65 an hour is totally reasonable. I think I spent $85 or something the last time. I don't know if it was an hour either.

I wish they were up here in Calvert too, after reading all these great reviews. And the price is so reasonable.

It's just not so relaxing to get a wonderful massage then have to deal with driving back over the bridge and up 4 to get home. I think my stress relief would be gone by the time I got home! :killingme

I live in Chesapeake Beach and drove all the way to Michelle Lea in St. Mary's County because of cost. The decor, ambience, and massage therapists were wonderful. Michelle was supposed to open a place in Dunkirk in the spring. Haven't seen anything though. Michelle, if you are still reading, any updates?

Looking for a place that does a good massage that won't cost me $500.00.

Looking for good back massage???
Charlotte at Bella Spa...she will listen to what your wanting to get out of the massage and she really focuses on that. Great deep tissue massage. Around 70-80 for 1 hour include tip.

I may wind up making an appt there and making the drive, been a really long time since I've had a professional massage. My little man has been killing my back and we've been transforming our backyard (non-stop projects) for what seems like forever this year!

I hope she opens up in Dunkirk, I'd probably go once a month for that price.
