That's why keen attention should be paid to Mercury, the planet that governs all agreements. Mercury will be retrograde for the first time this year from March 20 to April 12. Since Mercury rules Virgo, you will be especially vulnerable to this slowdown and perhaps even feel it as early as March 8.

You want Mercury to be supportive. Since it is never ideal to sign a contract (and marriage is a contract!) while Mercury is retrograde (or even a few days before) I suggest that you take action before March 20 or after April 12. During the retrograde period, you could cover all talking points of an alliance or partnership and set things up. If you choose to sign later, my choice would be April 15.

On a more positive note, please remember that Mercury retrograde periods can be used effectively to revisit past relationships, renegotiate agreements or correct errors.
Let me also remind you that electronic equipment often breaks down, and communications can go haywire, when Mercury is retrograde. It would be best to back up your computer now. If you plan to buy new software, a cell phone, I Pod or PDA, do so early in the month. This would also apply to expensive or important purchases such as a new car, computer, or a new house. Information is often missing when you make the decision to buy during Mercury retrograde and you may later regret the purchase.
