Good SOMD Seafood Restaurant??

Good morning all!
Just to let you know, we went to Rod n Reel last night for dinner. Got there about 5:30-6:00 pm. NO ONE in there. AAnd still had to wait about 30 minutes to be sat at a table. Finally sat, the server greeted us, took drink orders and app. and dinner orders. Meal was absolutely excellent. Service was great also, except for the wait to get sat. I still have not figured out WHY there was a wait.. The artichoke dip with crab was the best! The lobster special was absolutely scrumptious while my sig. other had the steamed seafood platter with scallops. crab and shrimp...AWESOME! So with that, I suppose the annoyance of having to wait to be seated at a pretty much empty restaurant, was worth it! FYI: They have a breakfast buffet on Saturday mornings and a Brunch Buffet on Sundays! We are going to try the Sunday Brunch this weekend!! Every one enjoy your day!!:howdy:

Long Johns!!

I cant wait until they open long john silvers..in the park.. so we can finally get some good seafood around here..

I've always found it funny that we live in an area known for its great seafood and restaurants and people get excited about going to Red Lobster.

I think they only seat the number of people/tables that they have servers for. Seemed like quality control on the service. If you didn't make a reservation, not sure why you would be concerned about a wait, especially if everything else was so good.

That could be acceptable, though I had been employed as a server and bartender for a number of years, the most acceptable thing is to seat the guests if empty tables or at least give them an explanation...as I said, the food and service from our service was commendable!

they guy at bear creek started making "texas style brisket" it was not half bad... Its not all ways available.. hit or miss kinda thing..

fiance gave me a bradley original smoker for Christmas and I've been in heaven ever since.

When is dinner??

Best brisket in maryland comes out of my smoker... but i would not mind trying #2

I AGREE JERRYS PLACE!! is my Favorite!!!! :) I've been going to his restaurant for years. Well the other location before the one in calvert. Kinda hard to find if you aren't looking for it. Its right next to MR. TIRE in Prince Fredrick.

Cream and Crab soup and crab balls are the best!
