"Victor Davis Hanson asks why so many Americans are depressed. Suggesting five themes that might provide an answer, he thinks that more than the economy explains our state of mind. I agree, but none of Dr. Hanson's themes accounts for my despair.

I feel utterly powerless to do anything about the fellow in the Oval Office who combines infantile leftism and adolescent grandiosity in roughly equal measures. It seems to me that every day he is responsible for assaults on the freedom and well being of the American people. I can't keep up and I can't stand to pay attention."

House Passes Hitler Youth Bill

Obama promised during the campaign to create a Socialist National Civilian Security Force similar to what they have in other Marxist regimes. Yesterday, the US House took the first step in organizing Dear Leader's dream youth service corp.

The House passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act yesterday. The bill includes language indicating young people will be forced to participate in mandatory national service programs. The bill also states that "service learning" will be a mandatory part of the youth curriculum.

That doesn't sound much like "volunteerism" does it?​

There is even a provision for uniforms of course. They sound more like The Young Pioneers of the former USSR actually or maybe the "Red Guards" of Mao's Cultural Revolution is what he has in mind..
