Sen. John Kennedy Delivers Glorious Remarks on Biden and the 'Truth'

“I cannot imagine what the world would be like without our country,” he said.

“The truth is common sense is illegal in Washington, D.C.; I know, I’ve seen it first-hand,” Kennedy declared. “I wonder sometimes how some people in Washington, D.C., actually made it through the birth canal. The truth is we’re going to have to get some new conspiracy theories. Because all the old ones came true. The truth is that Americans aren’t perfect, we’re not. But the other side is crazy.”

Americans do not deserve to be governed, Kennedy explained, “by deeply weird, nauseously woke people, who hate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Seuss, and Mr. Potato Head; who hyperventilate on their yoga mats if you use the wrong pronoun; who think kids should be able to change their gender at recess; who carry around Ziploc bags of kale to give them energy; and who think they are better than us.”

“By the way, to me, kale tastes like I’d rather be fat,” Kennedy exclaimed.

Comer wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Jan. 11, requesting access to the SARs, the latest of several requests dating back to last year. The Treasury Department has not provided the documents to date. Comer said the Treasury lawyer who has declined to provide the documents will be called to testify this Friday.

"She can try to explain to us why, under President Biden, this is the first administration that's blocked the House Oversight Committee or the House Financial Services Committee from having access," Comer said. "The whole purpose to these suspicious activity reports was to be be able to help everyone work together in trying to track down crime. And the fact that she's blocking this and that they are on the accounts of the president of the United States and his immediate family is very troubling."

The hearing is the first in a series of steps House Republicans plan to take to get evidence or punish the bureaucrats who won't turn it over. Comer said in addition to subpoena fights, House Republicans plan to vote to defund non-complying witnesses in the government when the new fiscal budget takes effect on Oct 1.

Senate Republicans Cave To Dem Propaganda About J6 Tapes

Despite the revelations of gross misconduct by House investigators to mislead the public ahead of the 2022 midterms, several Senate Republicans responded by railing against Carlson instead of at Democrats’ lies. Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Kentucky Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who sabotaged GOP hopes of an upper chamber majority last fall, lambasted Carlson.

“With regard to the presentation on Fox News last night, I want to associate myself entirely with the opinion of the chief of the Capitol Police about what happened on January 6th,” McConnell said.

Hours earlier, Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger sent a memo to his department that called Carlson’s coverage “filled with offensive and misleading conclusions.”

Two more Republican senators went to CNN, of all networks, to complain about Carlson’s decision to air the Jan. 6 tapes. North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis called Carlson’s reporting “bullsh-t.”

“I just don’t think it’s helpful, but I do think it’s important to point out that that’s happened on both ends of the political spectrum, and they’re both wrong,” Thillis said.

North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer also criticized the coverage from Fox News.

“I think that breaking through glass windows and doors to get into the United States Capitol against the orders of police is a crime,” Cramer said.

Seven-figure ad campaign exposes billions in Biden's Medicare cuts after accusations GOP wants to slash

Republicans are pushing back on President Biden’s proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage with a new ad campaign upwards of $2 million after the president claimed the GOP is looking to cut Medicare and Social Security funding.

According to a new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report, Biden moved $307 billion away from Medicare Advantage for green energy projects and to fund his expansion of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), among other projects, effectively offsetting the cuts.

The CBO report found that Biden spent $80 billion of the Medicare Advantage cut cash for IRS expansion, $76 billion "to reduce greenhouse gasses," and $36 billion on refundable tax credits for green energy, among other projects.

So if Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a supplemental plan from private insurers that beneficiaries can enroll in, why is the Fed allocating money to it?

Everyone Be Sad Because Conservatives Are Mean to Jerks

It looks like Jim Jordan’s weaponization of the government committee is going to make that Nina Jankowicz chick, the former Executive Director of the Disinformation Governance Board of the United States, sit down and testify under oath about the dirty work she did for the fascist regime. And now she’s very sad about it. See, we were mean to her.

Here's the skinny for the TL;DR set – a bunch of Americans reacted negatively to her campaign to install herself as the arbiter of what we could read, say, and think. You ingrates. She was doing it for your own good. At 33, she has the wisdom, the insight, and the modern academia-honed moral clarity to guide you to being the best you that you can be. And the best you that you can be is an obedient, woke serf regurgitating precisely the commie narrative du jour.

People said mean things to her. People said mean things about her kid. I’m sure they also critiqued her drama geek weirdness, but if they did not they should have. And, of course, there were the “death threats.” Ho hum. I care exactly as much about the “death threats” these people supposedly got from my allies as they care about the real death threats I got and get from their allies.

The idea, of course and as always, is that we are supposed to feel ashamed of the avalanche of negativity she received, and that’s supposed to make us stop reacting negatively to a nanny state nightmare who wants to treat our civil rights like a Frisco hobo treats the sidewalk. Well, too bad. Tough it, toots. Lady, you were an active conspirator in an attempt to disenfranchise us, to silence us, to impose the will of your mediocre clique of petty fascists upon us. You merely getting told where to stuff your disinformation was getting off easy.

Jerk.

House Judiciary Committee Issues Blistering Report Condemning DOJ, FBI for Targeting Concerned Parents

The committee began its investigation in October 2021 after members learned of the issuance “of a memorandum from Attorney General Merrick Garland directing the Federal Bureau of Investigation and all U.S. Attorney’s Offices—among other Department components—to examine and address threats posed by parents at school board meetings.”

The FBI went on to routinely investigate parents who criticized school boards, including a father for simply opposing mask mandates and a mom deemed a threat for “owning guns” and belonging to a conservative parent group called “Moms for Liberty.”

Throughout the report, the committee describes the stonewalling and lack of response from Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Biden Administration. Nevertheless, members were able to glean enough information from whistleblowers, subpoenaed documents, and a report commissioned by the National School Boards Association (NSBA) which labeled parents as “domestic terrorists” to write the interim account:

From the initial set of material produced in response to the subpoenas, it is apparent that the Biden Administration misused federal law-enforcement and counterterrorism resources for political purposes. The Justice Department’s own documents demonstrate that there was no compelling nationwide law-enforcement justification for the Attorney General’s directive or the Department components’ execution thereof.

Jim Jordan says liberal groups may have broken anti-trust laws by blocking conservative advertisers

"But it looks like almost this coordination and collusion amongst companies to limit information and ad information from going to organizations like yours and other conservative outlets, because they always like to do this rank order," he continued. "And it seems like the ones at the top are always the conservative news publications or the conservative websites."

According to Jordan, he sent a letter to GARM regarding this concern of bias against conservative outlets.

"We think this is dangerous," he stated. "It's why we sent the letter. I think that the focus for the district committee is this coordination that may be taking place among these companies and how they manipulate the marketplace. So that's what we sent out. We're looking forward to getting information back from this organization."

House GOP looking to punish politicized prosecutors by stripping them of legal immunity

"I think you're going to have to look at prosecutorial misconduct and whether or not prosecutors in this country should be exempt from liability," Scott said in an interview Friday night on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Thursday that Congress will take some action to punish Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg after he brought charges against Trump after months of downgrading violent felonies against other offenders.

"As he routinely frees violent criminals to terrorize the public, he weaponized our sacred system of justice against President Donald Trump," McCarthy said. "The American people will not tolerate this injustice, and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power to account."

Rep. Jordan Says Subpoena ‘On the Table’ for Manhattan DA After Trump Indictment

https://img.theepochtimes.com/assets/uploads/2023/02/10/GettyImages-1461356160-1200x800.jpg

Bragg’s office may argue the payment should have been classified as a campaign expense but was wrongly classified as a business expense by the Trump Organization—in violation of Section 175 of New York law—which ranks the falsification of business records as a Class E felony. The DOJ had already declined to prosecute the 2016 payment to Daniels as an election law violation.

Weaponization of Government Allegations

As chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Jordan also leads the newly formed Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government.

Jordan connected Bragg’s case against Trump to the broader work of his committee to investigate allegations of government officials using their offices to target their political opponents.

In his interview with Bartiromo, Jordan listed the Manhattan DA’s prosecution of Trump alongside records indicating FBI efforts to pay the author and a source for an anti-Trump dossier, the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) sending harassing letters to Twitter after Elon Musk bought the platform, and IRS agents’ visiting the home of journalist Matt Taibbi as he testified about government efforts to suppress and censor content on Twitter.

“This is about going after anyone who opposes the left’s agenda, the establishment’s agenda. And that’s maybe the most scary thing of all,” Jordan said.

‘Get the Facts on The Table,’ Then Cut the Money Off: Jim Jordan Details Weaponization Investigation Objectives

First, Jordan said, his full committee—and its Select Subcommittee on Weaponization—will use its oversight tools to “get the facts on the table.”

Then, he said House Republicans will propose legislative solutions to stop the government from being able to continue these actions—and he urged Republicans to use the appropriations process to cut off cash to out-of-control leftists targeting conservatives with government power:

So, get all those facts on the table. Then propose legislation—we’re a legislative body. That’s constitutionally what we’re supposed to do. Here are some pieces of legislation, proposals that we think fix that idea of where agencies are being turned on people they’re supposed to serve. Then, maybe most importantly is use the appropriations process and say something like ‘no money at DHS can be used in a way to create some Disinformation Governance Board’ and ‘we should not be having American tax dollars go to individuals who are focused in these federal agencies to anyone who is focused on labeling speech misinformation, disinformation, malinformation—we shouldn’t be paying them.’ There are things we can do in the appropriations process that I think might be where we have the most ability to be able to rein this in. So, it’s facts so you can build the case for legislation then you can build the case for using the appropriations process to limit money going to these actions that are harmful.
