A guy I worked with had an electric dog fence. He kept coming home to find the dog had peed on the floor, which he never did, then he happened to be home sick one day and discovered that the collar was setting off an electric shock when the dog was in the house, hence the dog peeing on the floor. He was getting shocked all darn day. Apparently if something's running that frequency it'll shock the dog. :shrug: I can't remember exactly what it was that was setting it off. :shrug:

PM Otter. We have one, new in the box, with two collars/transmitters. He has it somewhere in his closet in his computer room. You can have it. I don't want it.

I've had the electric fence for years. Works well on the one dog, but the beagle walks thru it and looks back at you like he enjoyed it.

I wanna give the electric fence a try now that I have a 2nd schnauzer. I like them to be out in the yard with us when we are outside, but I am constantly worried that the will wander off together at the first instant we become distracted.

The fence worked great and she was trained when we left that house. However, our new house has a nicely fenced backyard so all that training I did went into the sh*tter since we don't need to electric fence anymore.
