I heard the govt was going to fill the grand canyon in while it was shutdown.

They've probably hired a butt-ton of rent-a-cops to guard all the scenic overlooks. We had to run up to Arlington early Monday morning to pick something up and they had already barracaded all of the scenic overlooks along the Potomac on the GW Pkway. WTH - there aren't even trash barrels at those overlooks - exactly WHAT did that accomplish? This is the most hateful bunch of bureaucrats - NONE of this sort of stuff was done during the shutdown in 1995. Vindictive, small people. grrr
