Grass clippings in the road = death

Yep, part of summer. This close riding stuff doesnt help. She died becuase she couldnt slow down before hitting her husband, who slowed down for the grass. Grass is a factor, folllowing too close appears to be the cause. Not having a helmet might not have helped her any. Whats the point of those rope tassel things, anyway? Like weathervanes?

I mean, I've known of them, and that evidently you should have some sort of S&M quick release hardware to safely mount ( :))) them, but I just dont get why? Speedo never works so it's like a windsock? I specifically do NOT want long dangly crap hanging off my bike..

Saw a guy with those on his ape hangers get beat half to death once when he inadvertently got his Harley to go over 70 mph on a long downhill grade.
