Well, truth is, he is not a *strong* swimmer, no. He told me it was *walking* on the bottom of the pool. I've never been in it, and was just curious if it was really that sharp? Or does he have extra tender feet? hehe

Both of my sons have come home with the same problem from the pool.....not just GM pool but any pool with a cement bottom. Its not exactly sharp....just regular ol pool cement bottom. Once their feet get wet & wrinkly the cement rubs the bottom of the feet raw, which can bleed later, especially if they stay in the water for a long time. The boys now wear aqua shoes and have had no problems.

I had my nephew's birthday party there in April and thought it was great. They had pulled tables together for us and the party was to last 2 hours but they let us keep staying and never did tell us to leave.

I also like that the shallow area has that railing and ramp too so that my young daughter and son can play with me watching from a chair. I never had any trouble with the bottom of the pool tearing up their feet but maybe they weren't in long enough.

When my son took swim lessons there I really liked his teacher too and got to watch the aerobics class which looked nice too. The pool always looked clean to me.

The only thing I don't like much is that there isn't a family area for changing or even walking through. I didn't like the fact my then 6 yr old had to walk around by himself while I took my 3 yr old daughter through the girls side.
