Yesterday we drove by the University of Florida. All the snowflakes were out at the corner protesting the outrage du jour. It was probably something to do with women's rights as many of the signs were either red or pink. I guess they were protesting middle east regimes that treat women like personal property. We honked as we drove by and the hive got a bit animated.

But... But.. you forgot to stop and get a pic with the Gator......
That's like going to Metropolis, IL and not getting a picture with Superman.

Gainesville is small, but very cute. We got lucky yesterday and it happened to be the day they have their downtown farmers market, so we walked around there after the early bird supper. :jet: Then we went over to Ring Park and hiked a bit - my friend's wife died 7ish years ago and there is a bench in the park dedicated to her that I wanted to see. Tomorrow night we're going to see Tommy at their local playhouse.

My sister wants to know how the restaurant was? And what you all ordered..

I went to Jacksonville and got a picture of their jaguar statue instead. As you can see from the picture, it's a popular attraction.

We both had the chicken shawarma with assorted salads*, falafel bites, and this mint iced tea that was bomb. Food was good, everything very fresh and flavorful. If we lived in this area, we'd be frequent flyers.

*Every day they make 5 or 6 cold salads that they serve with the meals. You get a small portion of each one of them, which I think is the best idea any restaurant ever had.

Lol.. rubbing the testicules on the Ram statue at the Naval Academy is popular also, but you don't want to have your picture taken when doing so.

That sounds awesome and interesting, I'll be sure to let them know.
Thank you.

I moved to Dunnellon in mid-April. Much cheaper than Orlando to say the least. There is a whole lot of nothing unless your a horse person..if horse person it is a dream. In 3 weeks they have the Ocala Breeder's Sale selling the young racehorse. This weekend in Williston is a rodeo.
