Griffins BBQ Mechanicsville

I tried them once while they were still in the trailer and was not impressed at all. I would've put them just slightly above what Griffin's was. I found the sauce too sweet and it seemed to completely mask any flavor the meat could impart. The sides seemed like churched up store bought fare. The only thing that set them ahead of Griffin's was actually having a smoker that appeared to be cooking something.

All Up In Your Grill
Any relation to Griffin's Carpet America?

NO.

I've had the ribs from Griffin's. They are good; pretty meaty and they don't sauce them up like they do the pulled pork.

I don't like their Cole Slaw - too vinegary and definitely comes from a 5-gallon container.

I don't like their Potato Salad for the same reasons Lovin explained.

Their baked beans taste like they are Bush's Grillin Beans.

Hopefully now that they have a full kitchen (I'm assuming), they can expand on their menu and perhaps make their own sides.

By far, my favorite BBQ joint is Randy's. Smokey Joe's and Bear Creek are a distant 2nd. Griffin's is convenient, but when I want a sammy, I'm going to Randy's.

Call them Sir, I would think that if they are open they have Pit Turkey. They have had allways had it the last 10 years or so.
