Grill Recommendations?

Time for a nap
After I move next month, the first "big purchase" will be a new gas grill.

Can anyone recommend a good grill that I could buy for a reasonable price? I'd like to stay in the $200 range.

CityGrl, don't buy a grill until you can afford a Weber. It'll be worth every penny. You'll fall in love at first sight and you'll have it for the rest of your life.

Get a weber charcoal grill. I've had one for several years and it works great.

Dems can always come over and help you light it :lmao:

I've got a weber gas grill, a Weber Charcoal Smoker, a Weber Junior Charcoal grill, and thanks to my tenants a few months ago, a make shift fire pit right next to a big leaf pile. :yay:

Check out the May issue of Consumer Reports they just did their annual report on gas grills. Webers are nice (I have one) but there are others that are more affordable with just as many features. I don't know how much space you have but they did review smaller grills for folks with limited space like city dwellers. :yay:

I was going to recommend Great Outdoors grills, but they must have been bought out :bawl: Now they sell a POS at WalMart.

The Great Outdoors grill I got a few years ago is made entirely of cast aluminum (even the side tables are solid aluminum) with a cast bronze burner, and stainless steel bolts. It's been outside for years, still looks great, and the igniter still works! Oh well. I guess Weber is ok, but nowhere close to what Great Outdoors used to be.

Oh yeah, take a look at the Weber Q grill...small, well built, under your price limit.

More affordable/features do not necessarily make a good grill. The most important thing IMHO is how well they survive living outside. The igniters on most grill die after just a couple lights. They also rust incredibly quickly.
