Cnsider your laid back self BOOKED!
I came home tonight and cried like a baby when I hit the driveway. This mess is getting to be to much.

It'll be okay
It'll get better...summer time is a breeze, generall I've always found October to be the worst month for commuting... November you'll have the holiday folks for thanksgiving and being off, December you'll have Christmas, January and February some snow days...by March some folks will be calling in sick with spring fever on the warm days, April folks will be spotty - again calling in sick with spring fever, coming out of their cacoons. May - things are definately getting better then June... Summer starts and folks do their vacations, etc..
October has always been the worst for me and I've been commuting into DC for 18 years now - from Dale City, from Waldorf, from Nanjemoy, from Gaithersburg, from Damascus, from Bethesda, from Alexandria, from LaPlata, from Hughesville area, from St. Mary's and back to from St. Mary's... it's all the same. There'll be better days![]()
All I can suggest is get a kick azz stereo system, or get satellite radio, or books on CD or use the time to call folks and catch up on things.
What's kept me going this long is knowing "it is what it is" make the best of it or make less money.

Dag Dems! I only have a year of commuting to NOVA.... I pray everyday for the workers on the bridge. GODSPEED!
I Love You MIKEA! Just stay alive out there. Tonight was crazy! You texted me "I'm at your road" while I was at the Springfield interchange. You scare me.
And no more Cruise while ya lay in the sleeper!![]()
I am always safe and never break the speed limit and I would never think of getting in my sleeper while my truck was moving

I posted prematurely... I had some more adviceYes, I do feel for those on the bridge... just the same as two girls that started this week at work that are coming in from Bryan's Road, they have to get stuck in that mess just trying to get past it and into DC

Hey, I have some stuff you can listen to on the way to work. I bought my Dad some stuff when he was dying and he was too far gone to listen to the CD's so I still have them. One set is called "I thought my father was God" and the other one is Darwin awards, which is about stupid people. I haven't cracked the Darwin awards one open. I'm sure it's funny, but my commute is 15 minutes.......
Well my commut is anywhere from 500 to 750 miles a day.... shewww I'm tired...lol
I take it from the miles and your username, that you drive a big-rig? That can be a long day.....
Yeah I drive a truck for Dyncorp but I drive a peterbilt not a mack, mack is just part of my first and last name co79 is Hollywood rescue squad.
I work from home as much as possible because my office is in Gaithersburg. Yesterday, I foolishly decided to go in to the office since I had been avoiding it all week. There was an accident on the beltway and after two ours, I hadn't even made it past FedEx field, so I decided to go home rather than continue on and have to do it all again after work. So I took a 3 hour tour and ended right back where I started from!! What a friggin waste of time and gas. Did everyone forget how to drive in the rain?
