Soooo....My fiance is being a butt about giving me a wish list for Christmas. All I can get him to admit he wants so far is cologne.
So. What do I get the man who already has everything he needs?
What are you guys dreaming of from Santa?
P.S. He's in his early 40's.
Thanks in advance! :buddies:

How 'bout one-a-DEEZ?
YouTube - 8 sec gokart

OR

You could wrap yourself in plastic wrap; sans fabric; and call him from the bedroom when he gets home in the afternoon; with a rolling pin under your pillow; IF he says, 'leftovers AGAIN?'

Bench grinder, many uses.

Boots, slip on, no laces.

Beer making kit, it is fun to make your own brew.

Air compressor, a must have man tool. Don't get the little one, get the next one up.

Subscription to Maxim, the articles are good. It has articles right?

Have his truck/car detailed unless it is a mini Cooper or a Miata. If it is one of those get the windows tinted instead so people can't see him driving it.

Skins tickets and tailgate materials.

Salt Life
Linkin Park is coming to town in February, and you can purchase tickets online. If he's into golf, one of the tourneys is in April if I remember correctly -- get him tickets to the Bethesda course.

I am a mid to late 40 guy...

Tickets to Redskins should be easy enough to get as they are not going to the playoffs. Ravens game vs Steelers in Baltimore would be a great time (I went 2 years ago and had a ball). Tickets to a Caps game if he likes hockey.

Charter fishing cruise for the summer if they have advanced sales

Reservations at a fine eating establishment in DC.

Bose surround sound system.

Reservations for a weekend retreat out of the area.

A lot of these are really good ideas. Usually, for me, a gadget that does something cool does the trick, although my favorite gift is a surprise that shows she was listening even when I didn't know I was saying anything.

(e.g. one year I got a DVD set to a cancelled - and favorite - show of mine. I would never have thought of it)

I know one of the talked about gifts this year is the soda machine selling at Bed Bath and Beyond.

Might I suggest something else entirely?

Does he dress like a bum? Most guys tend to. A suit or jacket might be a good idea. Spring for something you wouldn't mind seeing him wearing.

Almost every guy I know likes a good leather jacket. I have about five (I think). I've always wanted a full length duster, but they're not cheap.

If he likes to cook, he probably likes to grill. Anything along those lines.

That's about it for stuff not mentioned already.

(p.s. Mig gave a lot of great ideas. Most of the stuff there, either my wife got for me or plans to)

Well ya see, Sam....I spoil him rotten.
Last summer, I took him on a shopping spree for work clothes. Bought 6 new suits, to include matching shirts, ties, socks, shoes, the works. Even had them tailored to fit perfectly.
Just a month or two ago, we did this with jeans and polos, sweaters, crews, undershirts, underwear, jogging suits, tennies. Again, the works.
My man looks FANTABULOUS!!!!! (Yes, I know fantabulous is not a word.)
Last XMAS was the rifle and leather jacket, along with all the littler things, colognes, cd's, earbuds, IPod adapters for car, etc..His Bday (March) was Satelite radio for his car and the puppy he had been subtly been talking about...that took some work, let me tell ya.
I've been keeping my ears open, and can't catch anything---that's why I'm trying to get fresh ideas...of which I'm getting some good ones on here!

Just yesterday I saw a gift I'd like to have.
With the new cell phone / driving laws, a lot of folks have gone to blue tooth devices. I have one and hate wearing it in my ear, but do so because I try to follow the law. Anyway, while riding with a buddy yesterday he showed me his new blue tooth device that is sort of like a garage door opener in that it clips to your sun visor in the car instead of wearing it in your ear. Speaker and Mic built right in so you're talking hands free without the bug in the ear. About $70.00 at verizon.
