Have you tried the salon at JC Penny? I let them do mine the past couple of times and have received an excellent cut, not to mention that the others there seemed extremely satisfied with the work they had done.

Hey there lady.....I get my hair done at Hair Solomons. I love it there. I have a friend Beverly that works there. She does an excellent job. The place is very clean and they even serve you wine if you want it while your getting your hair done. Nothing like getting drunk while your hair is being chopped on. That way you won't care what your hair looks like. J/K. They are very nice there. Prices aren't too bad either.

Hey, is that Beverly that we went to school with - the real pretty girl? (and no...not BT for those of you wondering.)

Thanks for the suggestions, ya'll. I'm going to try something new here shortly.

I haven't, but I've heard some good things about that salon here and elsewhere. Since they're very close, I may go ahead and go with that option.

I ask for Barbara, she is a Master-stylist, went to highschool with her.

I used to go to S-Kape in Leonardtown, but it seems like you have to book an appointment 4 months in advance anymore to get a slot there....plus they take 3 hours to do anything (although, admittedly, the quality was there).

I go to S-Kape in Leonardtown and I've never had to wait. I go to Brenda for highlights, and when my hair was in bad shape, I was going for weekly conditioning treatments. Might want to give them another try....when I call for appointments, I can usually get in the very next week. One time I got in that day (on a Saturday).

I'm going through the painfully slow stage of not cutting it and letting all my layers grow out. :frown: I look horrible. :frown:
You still need a trim, Dems. Otherwise, your ends will start to split and look crappy. :ohwell:

I like to go to "Classic Hair and Nails" in California,MD. Their salon is in the shopping center where Nicoletti's Pizza and Maryland Bank and Trust are located. It's the shopping center across from Sheetz on Route 235 South.

The place is owned by Kit, short for Kitradon. She works there with a couple of her sisters. They are originally from Thailand.

Kit does an excellent job for me. My wife goes to her too. MY wife is extremely picky about her hair cuts (every six weeks like clock work). My wife is pleased with Kit too. Their prices are good too. :dude:

I found the most FABULOUS girl to do my hair. She works at "Trade Secrets" in the mall, and she looks totally "Goth", but she does great hair, and I'm hoping she makes the move down this way. She spent an hour doing my hair and charged $25, and that was the full wash, cut, and style.

I really need to get my haircut badly. I haven't had it cut since May. I might just get a trim, because my hair is finally long enough to do a french braid in. (At least on the top)

Yeah that's her. She does a really good job. I just went in there on Saturday. She, like you has naturally curly hair and striaghtens it every day. So she may have some helpful hints for you. I don't know, it's worth a shot. I really like that shop though.

Anyone who is letting their hair grow out still needs to get it cut. Split ends will eventually break off if not trimmed. I love these people who have 4 inches of split ends and only want a trim. They think it is better to have long hair that looks awful then shorter healthy hair.

I go to bella salon. I've never had a problem. Good cuts and color. Little pricey but I've got nothing but compliments on my hair. Christie does an awesome job!!
